The North York Obedience Club (NYOC) has been training Toronto’s dogs for over 50 years. Whether you have a puppy or an older dog, a purebred or a mixed breed, we can make your time together safer and more enjoyable. Big or small, we train them all!
NYOC Dog Training is a not-for-profit club. All of our instructors are volunteers with many years of experience raising, training and delighting in the companionship of their dogs as well as competing with them in conformation, and in trials such as obedience, agility, tracking, and rally. Our members and our dogs are featured in the section on Membership.
Sometimes new dog owners aren’t aware of all the activities that they can do with their dogs. From walking in the park through to competitive obedience and therapy, we have instructors who can inspire you and point you in the direction you want to go. We invite you to compete in or volunteer at or visit the obedience and rally trials we offer every year in June. NYOC Dog Training also has a Demonstration Team that visits nursing homes, seniors’ residences, Cubs and Brownies, hospitals and libraries. Throughout the year, we often invite informative speakers to our meetings. Visitors are always welcome at these events.
For dog lovers who want to go beyond basic training and perhaps even give back to the community, we invite you to consider membership in this very special not-for-profit Club.
Thanks for visiting!
