Building Skills Together: This class builds on the skills learned in Puppy Class and First Steps in Dog Training, helping you and your dog gain confidence, strengthen your partnership, and have fun learning together
Ideal for owners who want to continue developing their dog’s skills, this class introduces new challenges through engaging exercises and games. Whether you’re interested in dog sports, therapy work, or simply having a happy, well-mannered companion, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to grow as a team.
Activities vary based on the needs of the dogs and handlers in the class, but may include:
- Building focus and connection around distractions
- Developing reliable loose-leash walking skills
- Increasing confidence and responsiveness in new situations
- Learning to work together with fewer visible rewards
- Fun training games that strengthen teamwork and engagement
- Practising skills at a pace that keeps both dogs and handlers successful and enjoying the process
This class is a great next step for teams considering our PCD Competitive Obedience or Rally Novice classes, or for anyone who simply wants to continue learning and having fun with their dog.
