Ready to put your Foundation Skills into practice? This class builds on the work you and your dog have already done and introduces the exercises required for the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Pre-Companion Dog (PCD) title.
As you progress, you’ll refine the skills needed for the obedience ring while continuing to strengthen focus, teamwork, and clear communication. Training is designed to be positive, encouraging, and rewarding, helping both dogs and handlers build confidence as they prepare for their first obedience trial.
Class activities may include:
- Improving attention and engagement
- Refining heeling and position work
- Building reliable recalls and stays
- Developing confidence in new training environments
- Learning ring procedures and handling skills
- Strengthening the partnership between dog and handler
