NYOC Trials
Every year, NYOC hosts four licensed obedience trials for CKC Recognized breeds. An obedience trial is an opportunity for dogs and their handlers to see how far they have progressed in their training. Earning an Obedience Title at any level is a tribute and an honour to both dog and owner.
Traditionally, the trials take place on a Saturday and Sunday in June. On the Friday before the trial, there is a correction match, which is a practice trial in which dogs and handlers perform the obedience exercises in a regular trial ring but without the pressure of formal competition.
NYOC is proud of its reputation for running friendly, well organized, and well staffed trials. This does not happen by accident! It is the result of expertise, cooperation and planning by many people most of whom are volunteers.
The Trials are held at Pine Point Arena in Etobicoke.
